“Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations-entangling alliances with none…” These are the words of the wise Thomas Jefferson that most of our elected officials have forgotten. Over the past few decades, America has become increasingly involved in the affairs of other nations, while letting our homeland crumble and fall. It’s time we stop worrying about everyone else in the world and start worrying about this country! When America is attacked, we must fight! Our brave men and women in uniform deserve our support. They also deserve the best equipment and technology money can buy. The United States must stand strong with a powerful military capable of defending this country when called upon. However, the United States does not need to be in the business of policing the world. Other nations are sovereign and should handle their own affairs, and we should handle ours.
